129. Bruges Markt

What is Bruges Markt?

The Market Square in Bruges, Belgium lies at the very heart of the canal-based city. The most important building in the square itself is the 12th century belfry.

What's Bruges Markt like?

Bruges is a beautiful, brilliant city that has to be seen. The beer, the food, and the chocolate are all excellent. After we got back from our trip, we watched the film In Bruges starring Colin Farrell, which is a brilliant film but it has messed with my memory somewhat. Maybe watch it before you go.

How did we get to Bruges Markt?

We went by Eurostar from London to Brussels and then on to Bruges. We stayed for 3 nights.

Worth noting

Belgian beer menus are a landmark in themselves. You can spend days just going to different bars and trying different varieties.

It was a new entry for 2020 (and deservedly so).

Yes, and I think 391 is quite fair.
